Sonia Sulaiman is an emerging writer of poetry and short fiction who dabbles in urban sketching and illustration. Her poetry has appeared in Uppercuts and Whiskey Sour City by Black Moss Press. Her articles have appeared in the Writers’ Union of Canada’s member publication Write Magazine, WindsoriteDOTca and OurWindsor. Sonia also edited the popular Brontëana blog.
Currently, Sonia is working on a collection of Palestinian folktales; the first volume are retellings of animal stories and fables from Palestine.
Sonia has a (combined) BA in English Language and Literature and Classical Civilization, B.Ed., and an MA in English, as well as a University Teaching Certificate.
